Annual Meeting - August 14, 2005

Meeting was held at Jim and Gwen's Cottage with following members in attendance:

Lon called the meeting to order. - Reviewed the Agenda. - Read Last Year's Minutes

Business arising from last year's minutes:

1. Insurance

Increase insurance from $1 million to $2 million at a cost of about $500 as of September 2005. Moved by Mary Anne H., seconded by Gwen W.

2. Road side clearing Report by Jim W. No local contractor available for proposed price of $800. Bill H. commented on 2 dangerous blind corners Rod T. will contact local contractors - approximately $1500 limit for about 6 km. of road - Rod has authority to hire contractor - Association will pay per km. Motion made by Bill H., seconded by Lon D.

3. Rights of Access - various road concerns - concern about ATVs - should we be locking gates? - Rod will close gate at junction of Boice Bradley and Preacher's Point Roads one day this year - Bill H. will call again re. Moving Artisan Ln. sign - Bob Y. will agitate to have Preacher's Ln. changed back to Preacher's Point Rd.

Treasurer's report by Lon: in bank -$ 416 owing to East Bay Association

New Business:

1. Election of officers: - will remain as before - motion made by Gwen W., seconded by Bob

President: Grace B. Vice President: Bill H. Secretary: Marguerite L. Treasurer: Lon D.

2. Association Fees: will stay same as last year: - motion by Bill H., seconded by Linda W.

Miller's Lake: 150 (100+ 50 for Boice Bradley Road) + 25 for social Preacher's Point: 150 (100+ 50 for Boice Bradley Road) Rod: 150 (100+ 50 for Boice Bradley Road) Grace: 50 for each undeveloped lot Bill H. 200 +66 to Boice Bradley

3. Increase in Fees:

Motion by Bill H. : We will match the percentage increase in Boice Bradley Road dues commensurate with the increase made by East Bay Association in their dues. Seconded by Linda W.

4. Report by Bill H.: Proposed by-law on setback enthusiastically endorsed at public hearing. By-law will probably pass in the fall.

Note: the gate at the entrance to Miller’s will be locked for a day and re-opened in order to meet (legal) requirements to maintain "private road" status – this will be done by Jim W. at a time to avoid disruption of service, when he comes up mid-April
